Is Jumping Rope Bad for the Knees?

YES... If you don't do your warm ups correctly and if you don't eat

If you don't do your warm ups it can be dangerous and it can lead to injuries like Plantar Fascitis, Shin Splints and more.

Jump Roping is an intensive exercise if done correctly, and at the same time it has huge benefits.

In fact I say that the Jump Rope is the most rewarding piece of versatile workout equipment that you can go for.

Just as Running Barefoot can be great so can Jump Roping when done correctly.

If you can run for 30 minutes without a break then try doing the Jump Rope without a break and see your time :)

The first time I tried I was surprised at myself because after so many jumps all I saw was 30 seconds!!!

Whooooo

That was it. I said to myself.

That's when I took Jump Roping seriously and realised that it's one helluva exercise that can do great for everyone who is looking to get fit.

Then there are bodyweights. If you can mix bodyweights with Jump Roping and the best is there for you to get!

While bodyweights will develop strength, jump roping will build your endurance.

You can go for heavy ropes so that you can build strength as well during your Jump Roping workout.

So there you have it.

Do your warm-ups as best as you can and be at ease.

In fact even people at 40 can do it without fear.

I do Barefoot Jumping at home and with shoes outside and i'm almost 40.

There are huge number of tutorials on proper warm-up before jump roping so please follow them.

These are 3 of my favorites.

They together have over 1000 videos put together. Enough of content for you guys to absorb and get jumping.

Did you also know that there are over 100 different ways and tricks with the jump rope to challenge you physically and mentally because these are going to be super tough?

Well it also looks like awesomeness once you learn a few tricks with the jump rope and hence you must get started today to turn some heads around you.

Crossrope has ropes to sell and so does Jump Rope Dudes and so does Rush Athletics.

See which ones you prefer and get Jumping people!!

Good Luck and NO, Jump Roping is not bad for your knees.

Mukund
